The cake :

  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 14g of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 150g of granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 pot of Activia vanilla yogurt, or any flavor and brand you prefer
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 4 large eggs

The syrup:

  • 1/2 cup of milk

The milk and vanilla layer:

  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 1 pot of Activia vanilla yogurt
  • 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 3 kiwis

The Orange layer:

  • 2 cups of fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp of granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch

How to make the most delicious orange and kiwi dessert cake:

Making the cake:

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl, add 4 eggs with 150g of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Then, beat them by using a hand mixer at medium speed until the sugar is dissolved, or until nicely combined.
  2. Now, add 2 tbsp of vanilla extract, 1 pot of Activia vanilla yogurt, and 1 cup of oil. Then, keep mixing to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Sift and add 200g of all-purpose flour, and 14g of baking powder. Then, mix until you get a smooth batter.
  4. In a greased baking dish, pour the batter evenly.
  5. Then, in a preheated oven at 360°, bake the cake for about 30 to 35 minutes (Check the cake from time to time). Let it cool slightly.

Making the milk and vanilla layer:

  1. In a small pot at medium heat, add 1/2 liter of milk, with 2 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 3 tbsp of cornstarch. Then, stir until lightly thicker sauce.
  2. Remove from the heat, add 1 pot of Activia vanilla yogurt, and mix all together until well combined.
  3. Then, pinch the cake with a fork, and pour the syrup on top
  4. Then, spread evenly the milk and vanilla layer until coated. And add slices of kiwi all around your cake. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Making the orange layer:

  1. In the same pot at medium heat, add 2 cups of orange juice, 2 tbsp of vanilla extract, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 1 tbsp of cornstarch, and boil the mixture until slightly thicker.
  2. Remove the cake from the fridge, and pour evenly the orange layer on top. Then, refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  3. Finally, serve it and enjoy This dessert with your family!
