- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tbsp of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp of chopped fresh parsley

- Firstly, season the scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until it begins to shimmer.
- Add the scallops to the skillet, making sure they are in a single layer and not touching. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and opaque in the center. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
- Then, in the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until fragrant.
